196th Annual Toronto Orange Parade.
The Loyal Orange County Lodge of Toronto announces the 196th Annual Toronto Orange Parade, the longest running parade in North America being held on Saturday July 9th 2016. Members and bands will assemble on the front grounds of the Legislature, Queen’s Park at 10:30am. The County Master and visiting officers will place a wreath at the cenotaph at the top of Queen’s Park Circle and on their return take their places and the parade will start at 11:00am Sharp! The parade route will be as follows. Leaving Queen’s Park via Queen’s Park Circle north to Wellesley Street. East on Wellesley Street to Yonge St. South on Yonge Street to Dundas Street West. West on Dundas Street West to University Avenue and north on University returning to Queen’s Park. The estimated time of the parade is about 50 minutes and 3.5 kms for dispersal at 12 noon. As there is no available parking at Queen’s Park the County of Toronto will be running shuttle buses from the MLS Sport Center behind our County Orange Hall leaving at about 9:30 am and 9:45 am. These same buses will return you to the County Orange Hall for the Post Parade event.
